What is the SRF OMC?

SRF OMC stands for the Self-Realization Fellowship Online Meditation Center – an official center of Self-Realization Fellowship. What is the connection between the Online Meditation Center and SRF?

The Online Meditation Center (OMC) is an official center of Self-Realization Fellowship. As with all SRF centers and meditation groups, the Online Meditation Center (https://onlinemeditation.yogananda.org/) is overseen by monastics in the Center Department at the SRF International Headquarters and run with the help of a managing council of lay-member volunteers.

Why was the OMC developed?

A physical SRF temple, center, or meditation group is located in a local community where devotees can attend services in person. However, many members of our worldwide spiritual family live far from an SRF group or center or are unable for other reasons to attend in person. Do I need to be an SRF/YSS Kriyaban to lead or usher online meditation services?
